*dän-, PD#24341
Bob Gramsma lives in Zurich and works as an object and installation artist. He has already realized several large-scale projects in public spaces and in nature. His work is primarily concerned with shifting perceptions of space. His new scenario seems surreal and at the same time refers to possible real effects of climate change. For his work «*dän-, PD#24341», he will move a large spruce tree to the Daubensee which is above the tree line. The fir tree comes from the Spittelmatte forest reserve on the Bernese side of the Gemmi route and was provided by the local cooperative. Due to the gradual drying up of the natural mountain lake, the withering tree lies as if washed up with its trunk in the sand in the apocalyptic scenery of the huge, black lakebed. Once the tree has fulfilled its artistic purpose, it will return to the natural cycle.
